Unhappy Airbag service urgent message?

Hi has anyone had a message that says "airbag urgent service" ? And how cani clear the message? There is nothing wrong with the airbag, I accidentally pulled the plug and let the battery go flat while fitting a parrot kit. It came on as soon as turned the ignition again. ?

Unplugging any orange (and some green) plugs without first disconnecting the battery for at least an hour will trigger the SRS warning I'm afraid.
It can only be reset with the proper Volvo diagnostic software and some high-end code readers.

I had the same thing happen when I didn't unplug the battery and removed and then unplugged the radio/CD player to fit a Volvo handsfree unit.

My local Volvo independent garage in Sunderland fixed it with a generic Snap On diagnostic tool for free...which was nice as I'd never used them before, and they did it whilst I waited (two mins)!

You were lucky in two ways there...

A generic reader cleared the warning (very rare)

They did it for free... normally, Volvo stealerships will charge you for air and wear & tear to the furniture if you hang around too long.

Too true!!

And when I look back, I do wipe the brow and think 'that was a close one'!

When I triggered my SRS by removing the climate module, my Autel cleared that warning.
When I similarly triggered another under the seat I wasn't so fortunate as that would only clear with Dice.
Luckily a very kind fellow forum member sorted it.
I don't trigger airbag warnings now. Two is enough

Thanks guys. I know a garage near me that has the volvo diagnostic gear, I'll ask them. Least I know it's nothing serious now.
Cheers
