480/440 tow bars

Hi,

I am considering getting a 480 as a family run around, but all our cars need to be able to tow. How easy is it to fit a tow bar to a 480 and how easy are they to come by?

The alternative might be a 440 or 460, as they are cheaper but not so interesting. Again are the tow bars easy to obtain for these models?

Hi you can get a witter towbar brand new for the volvo 480 off ebay sometimes for 98 pounds with free postage and packaging, alternatively you may be able to ask volvo, though I'm not sure if they sold the 480 with the towbar as an option.So your best bet may be to find a company that make towbars for all different makes and models of car and see if they have one for the 480.Witter are probably the best company to start with.

my cheesewedge had a towbar & sure that was Witter as you say

Have a dig through This lot. This is where I got my Brink towbar from and a fine heavy piece of equipment it is too!
