Question v50 dedicated electrics

just fitted a thule towbar to my v50 estate 2.0d. it came with a 13 pin dedicated Volvo wiring loom. I connected the loom as described in instructions I found online. I have the main wiring connector plugged into the module, and connected a 12v supply from the 12v plug in the boot area.
the instructions I have mention no other connections. I haven't checked the rig on my caravan yet, because all I seem to have done is power up the module. how does the module know where to send power to. I doesn't appear to be connected to any signal wiring. perhaps im missing something. could anyone enlighten me? cheers.

Hi, if it is the same sort of kit as my V60 you will need to get a software download done at a dealer to make it all work.

Hope this helps.

There is a small green connector hanging around spare near the power connector which you seem to have found , But no guarantee that a used trailer module will work ... Best get a new trailer module and the dealer to load the software they are not that expensive .
