Question S40 2.0d 2010 cold start rattle

Hi all
Every time after it rains when I start the engine it rattles like loose pulley or something metallic but can't pin point it .
Been to the garage and had ac compressor and alternator replaced but noise is still there also replaced the belt.
It last for 30-40 secs after it warms up then it's quite.

I hope someone out there had the same noise might know what is the cause ?
Thanks

Changing the a/c compressor isn't cheap is it? did mine last year

That's a tricky noise to pin point but because it seems to clear up fairly quickly I'd be inclined to think it was an idler/tensioner problem on the auxilary belt side of things, possibly the bottom pulley itself (they are a bonded rubber dampened unit) or even something to do with the cambelt rollers/guides etc.

The bearings of the various rollers/tensioners seem sensitive to damp weather in my experience.

Ac compressor was leaking gas so did that anyway but replaced alternator for that reason now before forking out more money need some pointers from other people before going back to the garage. Unless I leave it with them on a rainy day so they can hear it lol.
Heard about exhaust manifold, heat shield making rattle noise but since alternator change it sound a bit different so you might be right there.
