Default 850R Saloon (Manual only) photobook

All,

I was wondering how many 850R MANUAL saloons (854R) there are left in the UK. I know they are rare so it would be nice to some of the 'family'.

Give a few words on your car and post some pictures to show it off

Maybe we could arrange a get together for a photoshoot?

I'll start with mine;

1996 850R (854R)
(Manual)
Grey
151k on the clock
Fully standard

Things I need to work on to make it perfect;
- paintwork needs detailing
- dent on rear arch corner
- idle rev issue (engine stalls sometimes when idle)
- interior dash light bulbs starting to go
- headlight beams far from ideal - bulb/reflector/lense issue
- passenger exterior-rear door panel vibrates excessivly when radio loud
- front headlight wipers need replacing
- engine top mounts need replacing (where the struts fit)
- I foresee some engine bush/suspension work needing to be done too soon

How do you find the traction with the pallet?

Plenty of.footprint on the road there!

I was just saying on Facebook I found a manual dark walnut surround and gear knob (staying in my collection of parts) having a clear out over next few months but these things are hard to get hold of now

There isn't one. This car is just a chassis with a roll cage. Will become a road legal track toy, to be built next year with new engine gearbox & running gear. This used to be the one of the fastest 850s around before it blew it's guts out & got stripped for parts - it will ride again

Good luck Morgan, keep us posted with pics. This is always exciting stuff when an 850R is being reborn. If anyone's going to do it it will be you...
