Just started doing this today. Car is an 05 V70R. Does sound a lot like this https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...running-66846/ But on about resistors and the motor!! Are these things even easily accessible!? |

Looks like from lots of googling that either the Heater Motor Resistor or the Heater Motor (Fan).
http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/...2005&cPath=663 How to replace both (https://volvoforums.com/forum/volvo-...acement-58479/ resistor in the fan pack / housing). My guess is the resistor as the fan seems to work just fine, just the controllability of it (linked to the throttle now), but other show the resister as the cause when the fan speed just randomly goes up and down... Waiting on a Vida reader. So hopefully this might pin it down (most likely to the resistor)!? |
