Default Volvo XC60 B5 (P) Transmission Issues

Ive had issues with the gear box on my 2022 XC60 B5p. I bought the car brand new and from day 1 noticed the gear changes were not smooth, in particular 1st to 2nd..At times the car holds 1st gear until it is literally screaming. Then after 1500miles and its first 'long' trip it broke down displaying the message Transmission acceleration performance reduced. I had to be recovered into our local dealer by Volvo assist (Only took them 4 hours to get to me!).. They reset the gear box but apparently could find no issues and sent it back to us. The car still performs the same with poor and sometimes lumpy gear changes.
Last weekend the car hit a staggering 36MPH in 1st gear in Auto and bounced off the limiter 3 times before shifting too 2nd! I experimented by stopping, changing to M and accelerated without changing Gera until the car did so. This happened at 30MPH.

It has been back into Volvo for further investigation but they found nothing... It is now heading back in for seat base swap and further inestigation.
Has any one else had similar issues?
Also, the seat bases (in particular the bolsters) have gone baggy with annoying creases on the central leather panel. Volvo have agreed to replace them so that's a good point.
The wireless charger gets hot and makes the phone hot and constantly switches on and off.
The Google system has malfunctioned and has had to be reset several times. It has lost all sound, and at one time was playing the radio twice overlapped like an echo. Also effected indicator tick tock which was random, missing beats and crackly.
I think I got the car built Friday afternoon after a thirsty Thursday! Has any one else had similar issues with their Google system, transmission or leather seats? Ive looked around cars at the dealership and notice a crease on both drivers and passenger seats in the corner of central panel. This is more evident on some cars than others but always in the same area on both seats. I think the tooling must be faulty.

Sounds a nightmare!

I think the issues with the leather creasing on the side bolsters is fairly common, seen a few posts about that. Mine have on the drivers seat - i don't really mind too much, my is not as bad as some of the pictures.

On the gearbox - i have a B5 (D) - occasionally get a slow 3rd gear change when i first set off, and after that it's fine.

Lee, if you have off road mode try putting it in off road mode and drive beyond the 30mph range until off road mode drops out (automatically) and gearbox reverts back to normal drive mode. I have read that this resets the gearbox, worth a try, it will do no harm.

Same issue with our B4 seats but our dealer didn't get permission to change them... I agree its a quality/manufacturing issue!

Thanks all,

I’ll try the off road mode reset. I have done this before when messing about with the settings but didn’t realise it may be of help.
You’d think they’d sort the issues with the leather seats if it’s so common!

Well, the car has been in for the seat replacement and further investigation…I received a call yesterday from the dealership to inform me that it will be having a new gearbox fitted. At last!!
Fingers crossed that draws a line under it and we can start to enjoy the car 🤞🏼
