HID xenon replacement XC70 2014

I bought a replacement headlight bulb/ unit HID Osram from a retailer. They fitted it for me. It will not work and we are puzzled as to why not. They tried 2 just to be sure. It’s a 64 plate XC70.
Any thoughts?

Did you try swapping it and testing it in the working headlight?

Any error codes?

Hello

I would be checking the bulb connector for tight fit & headlamp ballast fuse in case its blown plus as suggested swapping the known good bulb to the side with fault.
Perhaps also swap the new bulb to the working headlamp to rule out a faulty new bulb......oh, and a read of fault codes.
It's not beyond the realms that you have a faulty ballast I suppose.
