If it is the Sport Lux, I assume the wheels you have fitted are 17 inch Arcadia's?

No, it’s got 16s on it. I traded down a size as I found the ride too harsh on the 17s . I live out in the sticks and the roads are crap surface wise.

I would go for 205/55/16's, which is what they had form the factory. They are an uncommon tyre now though and therefore expensive.

Some people seem to fit 205/55/16's successfully. I would exercise caution however, as they can rub at the back and you may not be able to take back seat passengers !

My V40 - as per signature - had 16inch Galactica wheels as standard.

I have always fitted either Michelin or Pirelli tyres depending on availability at the time and always 205/50R 16. As it is a strange size only Goodyear Efficient Grip were available when I had the last pair fitted. I don't see any difference to Michelin or Pirelli and never had any rubbing issues even when the boot has been fully loaded and the back end practically sitting on the bump stops.
