Smile Amazon estate advice

Hi All
I am thinking of buying an Amazon estate, has anyone got any tips on what to look out for? Any ideas on prices for good ones? I am not looking for a project as I have enough of those!

Many thanks

Hi, I have an Amazon estate that I tried to sell a few months ago. Genuine 47,000 miles although no proof of it. Excellent original car but really could do with a respray. No serious rust just a bit tired paint. Got bid to £4100 on eBay by a timewaster. Would sell for £4500 but no less as have decided to keep it and restore to as new condition. The thing to look at for with any amazon saloon or estate is body condition. Repairing rust can be very time consuming and costly. Repairing mechanical issues is simple enough and you will tend to find almost any amazon you come across will need some mechanical attension.

If you do find a car you are intersted in and want it looking over before you buy give me a shout.

I second what Classicswede has said, and would highly recommend getting any potential purchase checked over by someone who knows Amazons well. In the meantime, here's some light reading for you:
