See their site: http://www.texautomotive.com/classic...r_mirrors.html The Albert ones - well, from my "catalog": They come in 2 styles with/without the shade (?) - They are genuine Volvo accessories - Albert DGBM Germany was the manufactor.

Thanks for the info - those Albert ones look rather nice! The (non-Volvo) wing mirrors currently on my heap have quite similar looking arms & bases, but different heads (similar shape but the arm attaches in the centre not to one side).
Not keen on most of those TEX mirrors though - they'd be fine on BMC etc cars but imho only a couple would look right on an Amazon or 1800.

Here's a picture found quickly..
In my opinion, the mirrors are mounted too far away - too close to headlight - ideal place would be so that mirrorhead vertically is in line with center of front wheel... On an estate, most correct would be the estate mirrors.. http://www.volvoamazonpictures.se/bros/95/95.pdf

According to the above, mine are the accessory type, but with GT gaskets. However they seem to fit together ok aside from the very tip, where there is obviously a gap, but I reckon some sikaflex would fill that easily & neatly.

Anyone got any pics of what style mirrors should be on the estate. The Amazon picture website has been down for a few days so can't have look on there. I like having the mirrors at the front of the wing, looks cool and it's quite practical when driving as well. But I'm not sure what style I like best so thought I may as well just go for the historically correct one.

Anyone know where you can buy Tex mirrors? What’s the quality like? Looking at their website it looks like a S10 base and R3 head would be the closest they off to the original spec. I’ve sent them an e-mail asking what mirror and base is closest to original spec and where I can buy a pair but not heard back, will give them a call later hopefully if I don’t hear. This is the link classicvolvoshop sent and this is the style I think I should go for as they are original: http://www.volvoamazonpictures.se/bros/95/95.pdf Also what has happened to our Danish friend as not heard from him in ages, I miss his input and attention to original detail!!!
