Towbar question

I need a towbar for my 1971 144 Deluxe, does anyone know if a 164 towbar will fit? I had assumed all models used the same towbar, am I right?

As all the Volvo books I've seen boast that the 140 range is identical to the 164 behind the windscreen, I guess they are the same.
I should know really, as I have both models. To make sure (unless any other lister can confirm), when at my workshop next week I'll check, as a 164 and `142 sit next to each other there!
I have a 144 towbar in the shed, but it isn't the same as that on my 142 so I guess several companies made them.

thanks, as I thought, obviously depends on manufacturer but I should be safe.
