Weak screen washer jets
Hello all,
The screen jets on my 1995 960 have been very weak for some time now. I replaced the "tee" piece at the point where the supply splits to the two jets but this has made no difference. Can anybody suggest the best place to start looking, could it be the pump or is there a more likely place to look? I'm sure some body out there must have had this problem before. Hope to have your comments. Cheeers Minstrel |

Hi,
The chances are that the pump and jets are becoming clogged with "gunk"! Have you checked your washer reservoir filter recently? In need of a clean? Not sure what you can use to remove this gunk from the tank, motor and jets (and maybe even the pipes) but I have read of something you can add to the bottle that should clean out the whole system. Anything in the FAQ? Yes, check this section: FAQ: Washer system Des. . .

Clean the filter and then make up a warm solution of biological washing detergent to run through the system.
Hose the car down afterwards to clean the paintwork. Could be the pump failing though.
