Guys - just checked the bbc travel news site and the road to the pub is closed.
I shall not be attending today unfortunately.

Thanx to all who went to the meet, was nice to see you all.
Although the top car park proved to be unreachable the roads to the Malthouse were fine. A good turn out despite the weather. |

Wasn't sure how many people would attempt to get to the Meet today. Couldn't let Robbie down. The drive there wasnt too bad, then it started snowing quite heavily and we all ventured inside. Had a lovely meal, a little hiccup with the starters but nothing major. The snow had stopped falling until we all went back outside again.
Nice to see you all - old and new. Here are a couple of pictures that I took. On arrival you can see by the Ford that they had had some snow. There were even some Volvo's abandoned in a snow drift.... Parking was limited due to the fact that the top car park was inaccessible unless you had a 4x4. And after a little moving of cars, this is the most we got lined up in one place. |

Good to see everyone, old and new faces. A wide and varied range of motors:
One 244 Two 945's Two V40's One S40 One P1V70XC One P1 V70R One V70 P2 diseasel Despite the signs on the M62 saying the A672 was shut it proved easily passable. Both myself and Simon (tt82) proved that the top car park was not easily accessible though (even the Discovery bottled out LOL, although the RS4 got up OK, albeit once the snow was melting) and even trying to stay upright on two feet was interesting. Despite the Malthouses saying they were looking to be very busy when I booked the table it looked like many others didn't try to get there and I think they were glad we all turned up. Once again, good food, good company. Drive home was not pleasant at all with all the spray on the M62 and the usual CLOD's and people who don't know when to use fog lights properly (morons). See you again later in the year, hopefully with some better weather. Like usual I did take the camera but by the time I got round to using it, several people had left. Sam got better ones and posted earlier so just a couple of my attempts inlcuding one on the A672 on the way back to the M62.

Shame about the weather, although Volvo's always see best suited in the snow (depending on the driver).
Fingers crossed my meeting I've arranged taking place in two weeks time the weather is better, just been down today and although very grey, the big car park was quite clear. http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=88478 |

Nice to see the snowdrift. BTW, there were actually 3 240s not 1, a 264, and 2 V70s present.
Have a look at the snowdrift...

Good meet today, nice to meet faces new and old. The weather wasn't the best but we had some clear spells. Here's my photos.
Think this was just another patron having lunch.
