Default car sitting for awhile

I found a 01 s60 t5 w/64k on the clock. paint and interior look to be in awesome shape (very clean) well with the low moles i ran a carfax , and this carfax says the airbags were deployed in 04 when it had 63k and change on the counter. it seems the car has sat for around 9 years. the car has new tires on it , fresh oil change , and it seems the interior has been cleaned very well. air bag deployment was due to hitting a tree. well the air bags have been replaced. however i have a concern with this car sitting for 9 years. due to the good paint i would assume is was kept inside a garage. my concern is the non movement in 9 years. so the question is what should be replaced or flushed as far as liquids? im gonna buy the car for $6k. after i purchse this ride , what should i look at and check to see if certain parts are good and not dry rotted? any idea's would be helpful. Im sure i might want to replace some hoses or flush some liquids. just looking for a heads up on this deal. any info would be great. got the oil changed , and i looked over the engine , just didnt notice anything bad. no service lights are on.

I would change the cam belt aux belts and check/ overhaul the breaking system for a start.

Tyres, while still looking "new" may be way past their lifespan if they were fitted "new" around the time of the crash - Look on the sidewall for the production date. If they are over 5 years old, budget for replacing them. They'll also have massive flat spots if its been sat without moving for years.

You'll want to replace every fluid - coolant, oil, etc, as well as filters (cabin / air / oil / fuel) and drain the old fuel out of the tank. If its been stored in a dry garage all the seals around the doors and windows should be OK. Cambelt, Aux belt, water pump. Flush the brake fluid through too.

I would be asking why the car has been sat for so long - did the owner not feel it safe to drive after the airbags had been replaced?

apparently when this wreck occurred , the owner got a insurance check but used it for other reasons , and not fixing the car. so it sat forever. Thats the story i got. not sure if its true , but it makes sense. I have heard the "Cambelt" a few times. could this task be done in the driveway? or is it best to take to a dealer? I was thinking about all the fluids and checking breaks , good call on the tire wear. That thought was not on my mind. Is there anything that should be lubed? are there many vacume lines? sorry , i looked at the engine , but was not looking for things such as any vacume lines. adjustments anywhere? thanks guys for all the help , i dont wanna be driving around and have something overlooked and break down.
especially if Jessica Alba is with me , she hates to walk anywhere.

shut the front door , crap - i hope we are not talking about the timming belt? like i said in a previos post i worked for a volvo dealership when i was a young lad. I was only permitted to do oil changes and tires - just general stuff. While working for volvo , i noticed a huge room with dealer only tools , that was out of reach from the general public. If we are talking about the timming belt , i would assume this would be a costly expense? Thinking dealer only tools would be involved in this process? and a lot of time? please correct me if im wrong. This is now on my first to do list , only due to the fact knowing when those belts go , they take a lot of other parts with them. crap!

relax, cambelts arent as difficult as myths tell....over here a cambelt/timing belt kit (timing belt and pulleys and idler) will set you back approx £90, water pump £30. screwdriver for locking the cam off = £2.99 if you do it yourself your time = free so all in $160USD approx

I recommend contitech (continental) if the belt hums its too tight

plenty of guides around here somewhere.
