Default Part numbers for front parking sensors

Hi Nellw, from the invoice for the fitting to my R-Design:

31330918 PARK ASSIST FRONT
30758120 CASING, which I think is the surround into which the sensor fits.

Hope this is helpful.

to ask what might be a daft question: if you have the sensors fitted do you not constantly get beeps if you get too close to another car in a traffic jam? or does the beeping only start once you are really close (unless the rear sensors where beeping seems to start from about 6 feet away!)

You are correct - the front sensors have a more closer limit as it assumes you are looking forward and can see the car in front. I find they start beeping about 3 feet away which is pretty acceptable gap to leave in queing traffic.

they don't like buses or motorbikes passing within a few metres of them though. they're a bit temperamental like that.

If you can't see the rear tyres of the car in front.....you are too close

in stopped traffic right? ...and if you can see the tyres in front, someone will be into that space quicker than you can say , "er...." at least that's the case in london! in fact, you'd probably get about 50 push bikes into a space like that!
