Engin does not want to start
Hi there, I recently took my Volvo S40 2D 2006 in for a serice to a 'Volvo Spesialist' 2 weeks later I had to tow away the car from his workshop, as it didn't want to start. I did some testting myself and it looks like the is no power to the injectors. I did eventually manage to start the engin, but it sounds like it only runs on about 2 pistons. I did a resistance check on the injetors and get a reading of about 6 on all injectors. I also did a voltage check on the injector plugs with no power.
If anyone can help me with this it will be highly appreciated? |

It went in with a problem that every now and then, that it wanted to stall, so we asked the 'spesialist' to check the problem for us. Then after he did the service the car didn't want to start anymore.
Eventually we just gave up with this guy, as he wanted to replace the injectors, but he could not verify that this was actually the prolem. |

He may have put air in the system by disconnecting the injectors and now needs to use a hand priming pump to get the air out. My expiriances of volvo specialists suggests to me that they don't tend to have a great deal of knowledge of these engines.

Like Matt says, chances are they have just got air in the system and now require a hand pump (post filter) to prime the system for you.
Certainly the first thing I'd try. |

Have you tested your crankshaft sensor?
http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=173812 This is worth checking, but could still be an injector issue, just hoping its not.
