Default Stereo adapter

Is there an adapter that makes an aftermarket stereo on a 940 look as if it's meant to be there? I have one but it sticks about an inch out of the dash and IIRC the stereo even sticks out of that (I put the original back because it looked so rubbish).

No, the adaptor is that shape because the Volvo head units are not as deep as the standard iso sized head units.

There are adapters. I've just used one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT

And it fits perfectly:

Install the adapter, then the radio cage then the radio or it won't fit.

You'll probably need to bypass the original amp too but have a look here
