S70 T5 17" Wheels
I'm new to the forum, and am seeking advice on a strange noise I get form one of my 17" BBS Propus alloy wheels. Make a squeck noise while rolling slowly. There is no damage to see, but I was told by a tyre bay that the wheel was buckled.
Seems a nightmare to get someone to sort it. I might need to buy another alloy, any ideas where to source one please Ta Jase |

RE: S70 T5 17" Wheels
Ultra low profile tyres offer little protection to softer alloy wheels - many members have had aftermarket wheels buckle under the heavy load of a fast 850.
OE wheels are specified not to bend - unless you ram a traffic island, of course... It's a case of getting what you pay for and £300 plus per corner seems to be what you need to pay. |

The BBS Wheels are an OE option from Volvo for the "70" T5 models, and cost £450 each less tyres, You'd think they would withstand a few potholes

Yes, you would think that at that price, hmm...
I'd go back to your dealer and confront them with the offending articles to see if you have a duff wheel. Mention the fact that any outcome will be posted for the Club, and see if that improves their response. |
