Most expensive part known to man!!!!
A friend of mine who owns a Merc recently broke a wing mirror. The quote for repair was over £900 !!!!!! for a mirror + plastic case. This represents 4% of the cost of the brand new car!!!! Anyone got any other horror stories for parts costing the national debt of Paraguay ?????? Cheers Nige

Only the other extreme - needed a new foot mat clip thingy to hold it to the floor, bought the kit (couple of clips and metal bracket bit) from dealer for 12p. I presume there must be some mistake in the pricing!

The day will come when you need to replace the whole car because the indicator bulb is gone. I dispair!

Hi,
What do you mean George.. ''have to replace the car when the indicator bulb has gone'' I always change mine when the ashtray is full !!!!!!!! Have you seen the LED cluster displays on the new Range Rovers. They must have a loan application form pasted on the inside. On a similar vein the new Renault Espaces in France have an almost flat back with no noticeable bumper so if you have even the smallest rear end shunt the damage will be enormous. Cheers Nige |
