Default SatNav Updates

I have recently received my latest Volvo map update for the XC 60 SE Premium, thats the second one now and probably the last!!
I have persevered with the Nav over the past 18 months and can now use it OK.
However I have just won a Garmin nulink 2320 in the monthly draw ran by Total Fuels. I looked up the value as you do, its £144.Its taken me a couple of hours to master it, but what an amazing difference to the Volvo steam driven one.
Every thing about it is far in advance of the Volvo kit. The favourites for example have absolutely masses of categories and locations, it actually names all the roads and streets as you make the turns. Finally it also fits on the shelf in the recess in front of the Volvo one. Only had it a couple of days but so far I can't fault it.

We've had ours for 3/4 months now and my wife has been moaning about ot the whole time, telling me that we should get our 2008 TOMTOM one back of my dad! That is certainly better than the Volvo one, so the best modern day ones must be great.

...meanwhile I've also just received this

Volvo supply the Garmin 3790 as an accessory which fits in the blank panel where you have put your garmin , Cant beat the volvo screen though and how you can control it from the steering wheel .

Anyone that received the SATNAV update already for the Sensus system. I should have received it in June, than in September and since then there is radio silince about when we should receive it. They seem to have big troubles maybe?

I am having a bit of a todo with Navteq as they have just sent out to me the same software that they sent in June and claim that;

a) I never registered the car for the updates
b) I could not have had the software in June as it was not available
c) I must be lying and I bought a copy myself
d) they have now fulfilled their obligation as they have sent 2 updates

I was extremely disappointed by the attitude of Navteq and I have escalated their appalling attitude to Volvo who are now dealing with it.

The contact number for Navteq is 00800 18 23 53 22 - I suggest that you call them to make sure that they have you on their system as Volvo has no method to confirm you have been registered for the updates by Navteq.

I should add that my initial discussion with Navteq was friendly and helpful, it was only when I started to explain on the second call that they had sent out the same package twice and that this did not constitute an update that they became belligerent and difficult.

What version do you have?

I presume I have the latest as my XC60 is a Sep MY12.

and the Navigation is map software 0997 version V30.11.03 according to the Sensus system.

I guess you both have an earlier version in the car at the moment?

Or maybe I need an update as well?
