Just bought a car?

I just randomly entered the address of the former keeper (found on my T5's log book) into google maps and used street view, found my T5 parked on some mini roundabout!

That'd explain the messed up tracking when I bought it.

What a strange place to park a car. I wonder where the strangest place a Volvo is parked?

Looks like its probably in a cul-de-sac, parking on the turning circle to make room on the road.
