Default Battery Goes Dead....Help!

....2009 C30...My battery runs down...dealer said battery was n.g. so put in a new one....New one is now dead, I had not used car for 2 weeks....dealer says problem may be that I leave the short stubby Keyless Drive Start Control in the ignition switch when car not in use? I thought that would be OK but dealer says it still drains battery. I am confused, what is the point of the keyless control if you also need the Remote Control Key present to start the car??? Any help would be appreciated...

Believe the keyless system was designed for the key to stay in your pocket !!!!
Are you saying theres also a gadget that must be in ignition hole before the "key" can be used remotely to start the car?
