Angry Mad car insurance!!!!!!

Just tinkering around the net spotted a PHAETON £6k, I wonder how much that is to insure ,I ask myself. £462 with swift cover that's £200 less than my 53 d5 ,it's a mad bloody world!!!!! I just don't understand insurance it's all over the place.

Pretty bonkers eh. You must just be a young lad if its costing you over £600 to insure your D5. That won't explain the Pheaton quote though.

A while ago, I was out with a few pals. One of them has a Vauxhall Insignia, 2 years old. "What's the insurance"? I asked him. "£290" he replied. "**** me" I said, "my 2003 s60 costs me £420". One of the other lads, a broker, chimed in and basically said that the insurers view is that the chap with the newer car probably has more invested and therefore is less likely to drive more boisterously etc etc. He gave the correct term for it but i dont recall it. I don't understand it either but there you go.

What he meant was that young car enthusiasts will pay anything to drive the dream machine and the correct term is, I believe, a con job.

54 years old 17 yrs no claim, previous d5stolen in burglary but that has no bearing on my cover rising 65% in one year?or so they tell me.

Good grief, we're they wearing masks. 65% increase??? It might as well have been your fault, that's ridiculous. I'm 6 years younger than you with maximum NCD for my insurer, and mine insurance is £180.
