Subframe inserts
Hi last month I order some parts from IPD USA to solve
cracking, squeezing and some other noise on subframe what is old problem on XC90 and similar engine supports. Even Volvo add some improvements with plastic washers, ring rubber insert ect... I will also change E, F, G, H and of course new bolts. !!! See photos. As soon I install I will give you my opinion and improvement on driving and silence. I have double layer laminated windows and I dont hear so much inside but people on traffic lights a laughing and this is shame from Volvo. Now I decide to solve this problem.

You don't say what year your car is but the later cars come with white and blue subframe bushs and a fix is to swop them round to how they were fitted at factory to improve on noises and vibrations
Those rubber rings are also a volvo part, i have the number written down at work somewhere altho its not shown on vida

I've installed it on my S80 before. It produced a little bit more vibration in the steering wheel for the benefit of a more precise steering. I've read the on the XC90 the vibration is not an issue so that's why I thought of buying these mainly to see if it can improve the steering response.

No hard feelings but why we allways need to pay design technical isuess of factory problems. Its not question of the money but the top model of Volvo must be done better or? Continue...

No its not Volvo/Ford Penarth.
My friend suggest me CFS service as he have Volvo for a years and he guaranty for good reliable service and prices. Volvo service Ford/Penarth didnt act in a professional way from first moment with me and quotation are made in amateur way and not Volvo regular timings/prices as I had many years... Im direct on public with my post and I have Volvo for 8 years but to change termostat + gasket they requested 275,78 GPB...is this need any comment? Termostat cost is around 20-30 GBP and Gasket is 4-6 GBP. Work? No thanks Im not mechanic Im electrical but this is for me robbery. CFS is located CF10 4 LQ Unit P2 South Point Clos marion South Glamorgan Cardiff +44 2920251251 P.s. they act highly professional, kind, check all my list and requests, made appointment and comments on material and tomorrow is first check. Continue.
