Default XC60 D4 FWD geartronic

Hi

I am in the process of ordering my second XC60 ( current D5 SE manual ) and thinking to go for the new 8 speed geartronic transmission.
Have read different reviews
Any thoughts would be appreciated?

I think it is brilliant!
Very smooth, good performance, drops down when you push the pedal hard....
My first auto, but I have driven plenty...

The gearbox is superb - very smooth changes, you can hardly tell that it has changed gear.

Thoroughly recommend.

My first auto and wouldn't go back.

Smooth, effortless & reassuring and makes for a more relaxing driving experience. OK fuel consumption probably takes a bit of a hit I guess but have averaged 41.3 MPG over 10,500 miles thus far with mixture of driving. If I did longer runs I guess this might actually be a little higher.

And of course if you also go for the driver support pack (DSP) you get a lot of extra goodies which brings the geartronic into its own.

Won't sound like your D5, but then you knew that already..
loads of torque, smooth +1 for DSP, makes the car

unless of course you need AWD..
