It sounds like the problem might be with the mute interface on the Parrot. If you've got the external amp under the drivers seat, try removing the interface and plugging speakers back into the amp.

That does make me think, since it worked momentarily... Tomorrow, either leave your phone at home, or switch it off, or enable 'aircraft mode' before starting the car, does it make any difference?

Does the parrot support music streaming? If so, any chance that mode had been accidentally selected?

Thing on my mind is, whilst I'm not familiar with Parrots, most hands free kits simply disconnect all the car's speakers, and 'take them over' when needed. The bluetooth may just be thinking it needs the speakers when it doesn't...

It is also possible the HU-850 has died. But if it were me, before accepting that diagnosis, I'd want to completely disconnect the parrot, and restore original wiring.

On the CTK3100, as Bill describes, the relay module breaks the connection between the amp and speakers and connects the Parrot to the speakers instead. The relays are controlled by the main unit so a fault in either module could leave the feed from amp to speakers permanently disconnected. Here's a circuit diagram showing the relays:

This is my installation under the drivers seat. The output from the amp is the large connector at the bottom left and the wires to the speaker are the white twisted ones towards the right of the picture. If your setup is like this, plug the speaker connector directly into the amp and see if the radio works.
