If the cooler itself isn't damaged it is an easy fix and requires 2x Orings...But put an oil container when you remove the 4x torx40 bolts from the cooler as there will be oil that will escape..

I did mine last weekend! It's been leaking for ages and uses around a pint every 1000miles. I bought the new seals for just under 14 quid from the Volvo dealer. The seals I took out looked ok but the new ones are in and it no longer leaks!
I was pleased as I thought the engine was on its way out, a couple of I rings is much more paletable. You'll need to drop the oil so it may be worth accelerating your oil change plan!

I dropped the oil but I have no idea if it's necessary, seemed like a sensible precaution! There maybe all sorts of baffles that stop the sump emptying out of the holes for the cooler but I didn't know enough about them to guarantee it so took the safe option! Only added 10 minutes to the job time.

Is this leak in addition to your oil cooler leak, or has it just appeared after repairing the oil cooler? The filter cap says it must be torqued to 25Nm, but it's tight enough that a torque wrench would click at 25Nm before the filter cap is fully on. Did you replace the filter cap seal without rolling it? I.E stretching it over the cap and not rolling it down the threads?
