Caravan Road Lights.

Guy's does your caravan road lights come on when the car engine is running. I have only the day light running lights on my XC60, but when hitched up the caravan rears, side running and front marker lights all illuminate as soon as the engine is running. I'm not that bothered, but it just seems a bit odd?

On all of my Volvos (a 760T, a 740GLT (B234F), two 940 Sport Editions and a 960) once the van is plugged in and the Volvo turned on I have front sidelights, rear sidelights, and the side markers near the top and near the back all on.

Thanks for that Roger, I did wonder, so just had to ask.

I note you are in Rochester. We recently moved from Hoo to Snodland after living on the Hoo Peninsular for 36 years.

Here too.

I think it is because the rear lights come on with the day running lights which is sensible IMO.

Yes they do on my XC60. Just carry a couple of extra replacements caravan bulbs for the extra use they are getting from before I towed with a Volvo

Roger, I think I may have noticed, we lived in Allhallows and I passed through Lower Stoke as I worked at Grain power station. Small world Roger!!!
