Default London and back

Got back this morning from a long weekend in London, visiting our lad. Our daughter in law and granddaughter are abroad at the moment so thought we would spend some time with him. He's also cat sitting for a friend, have to say it's a lovely cat, lovely nature.

Anyway back to the journey, took around 5 hours to get there, it's around 560 miles round trip. Car went well. Okay there are 50 mph restrictions on the M1, but we choose the right times, and the traffic wasn't too bad at all. Took around 5 hours on the return journey, left London around 5.30 am this morning and was back home for 10.18 am, had a "P" stop, averaged around 51.7 mpg, which I am very pleased with, and ran very smooth. Used the sport box on a couple of occasions when I wanted a bit more umph, and it goes brilliant, left a few behind!

Seats are so comfortable, wife still uses her heated seat on low but that's to make things more comfortable for her. Sooooo pleased with the car and don't miss BMWs at all!

The 50mph restrictions on the M1 are a pain, but it is the only time I have been able to use cruise control and I found that it works very well.
