Default D5, changing the front lower engine mount

Hi all

I plan to change the front lower engine mount, will I need to support the engine when I undo the fixings for the existing mount?

Yes, the Heinz manual gives you a good procedure. Trolley jack under the sump, if memory serves me right. About 2 hours or thereabouts.

The Heinz manual shows about 57 different ways to change it so it does

The video above shows the torque mount being removed.
No engine support is required because it's not a mount as such, more of a buffer/movement restrictor.

Replacement went smoothly, I could get enough access by driving the front wheels onto 6" x 3" planks. Original torque restrictor mount was heavily worn, we'll see if that reduces the annoying "bang" when starting from cold.
