Default Gearbox!! M56(?)

Here's one that'll get you talking.

I have a V70 T5 auto 1998. I am going to be doing a manual conversion this summer, however I'm in need of the information regarding the manual gearbox I need.

According to some sources, most V70's came with an M56 gearbox (manual)... BUT! Other sites talk about an M56 with another letter after (M56H, M56L etc)

Basically, what gearbox do I need, and what engines were that specific gearbox fitted to - a good friend has a 10v 1997 V70 manual. Would that gearbox be suitable?

Many MANY thanks in advance.

The T5 uses the M56H which stands for High Gear the M56L is Low Gear.
