Exclamation V70 Fuel pump relay location?

Does anyone know where the fuel pump relay is located in my 2001 V70 S.E 2.4 D5? AutoData says it's under the dashboard but doesn't state which side.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Take black part of lower dash off on drivers side, held by 2 Torx screws (can't remember size. You'll see the bottom of the cem, on this will be 2 relays together if you have front fogs, or just one of you don't.

This is the fuel pump relay and fog light relay. They're the same, so if you think you have a relay issue (and have fogs) switch the relay positions.

Thanks for the info guys,

will check tomorrow to see if I can locate it. Mine does have spot lights, so that will make it easy to see if that's what's causing my problems

That didn't work unfortunately, but it was apparent that the cover had been off before so I wonder if it had already been swapped?

Does anyone know how to bridge a 5 pin relay? I know how to do a 4 pin but a 5 pin makes no sense to me?

Did the spots work with both or one or none?

I must admit I didn't check because I'm not sure if the fuel pump requires more power than the one fog light that is working

DO THIS it will tell you if the relay is OK.If the spot that worked doesn't then your pump might but if that doesn't then it must be the pump.

Purchased a new relay from Volvo as it was a main dealer part only and my car still won't run.

Just in case anyone wants to know how to test to see if it's the relay that is at fault, the wires to bridge are terminal numbers 3 and 5 on the relay, the only two wide spade connectors on the relay itself.

How much fuel does your fuel gauge show is in the car? If around 1/8th tank, it's likely your pump or transfer piping has failed - always worth trying the fuel filter first as it's often neglected (and it's a lot cheaper)
