Default The sat nav is lost...

For the first time since the car was new, our Sat Nav lost itself. On the way up from Hampshire to Cambridgeshire it decided that we were actually taking a tour around the Basingstoke area the whole time.

I know others have experienced this gremlin - is there a fix for it, or does it generally sort itself out?

On a better note, we've just got back from a week down in Cornwall - the car was flawless. 5 up with a roof box loaded to the brim, no complaints from passengers and averaged 38mpg which I thought was quite decent given the extra drag.

It needs a software update. Mine first went like this a year ago and never sorted itself out. The garage did a software update and it was fine for a while then it went again. Latest software seemed to cure it for the moment at least. When did you last have a software update?

Mine regularly went haywire until the new Sensus update that was done about a month ago, while it was in for a new battery and the side curtain airbag fastener recall. All done in one go and it has been perfect since, until a few days ago when it lost contact with the physical volume nob and the drive mode dial. It sorted itself out after about two days and has again been perfect since.
So best to get the latest Sensus updates done. I presume they haven't already been applied. If they have, you will have a vehicle checklist appear briefly in the centre of the driver's display and new arrangements of virtual buttons on Sensus display.
