Default P1800 stainless steel exhaust recommendation

Hi folks,
Exhaust shot on my B20 P1800 so looking to get myself a stainless steel one.

I'm in the North West Blackpool but don't mind travelling.
Can anyone recommend someone.

Is the advantage of a 4-2-1 inlet manifold improved torque?

Anyone advice on type of exhaust, regards better power, freerer engine revving, and deeper tone.

Thank you
Toodleloo
Steve

Your car will breathe better but don't expect jet propulsion ! Sadly people think that exhaust mods make a huge power difference. They do make a difference but nothing of great note without other modifications to suit.
I would go for it myself if you are changing out stuff and also increase the diameter of the exhaust a tad ( again a word of caution not to go too big)

I have a guy up here that builds great custom made exhausts. The quality is top notch.

Cheers Guys,
Been in touch with Dai (classic swede) and am looking to have a 4 2-1 manifold and stainless steel exhaust.
Will report back once fitted...... on how the car feels, not expecting miracles ",) but hopefully a little more torque and free flowing. Be interesting to see how it sounds too.

Cool

Basically. with a twin outlet cast exhaust you already have a 4-2-1 system A stainless 4 branch will give you nothing except a hotter, noisier engine bay and a big chunk out of your wallet. Some of the sellers will say otherwise but a decent, slightly larger system from the manifold back is all you really need. One that fits with no interference anywhere is a bonus.

Cheers Derek,
I did question other than aesthetics what does this achieve.

While you're down there, I'd pop a new oil pressure switch in there for good measure as once the manifold is in place, it's quite inaccessible. As well, I would put a really good bit of cable and connector on it and insulate it well because it's so close to hot manifold.

Each to their own, but I really love the style of the 2 sweeping highly polished tailpipes underneath the back of an 1800. Beautiful cars!
