Default Schedule central locking control in S40 1999

Hello partners,

I have been offered a central locking control, which on the outside is the same as the one I had. The question I have is whether it will be compatible with my vehicle, and if it can be reprogrammed to open and close.

My car is an S40 1.8i 1999, and I had one that I lost. Does anyone know how I can code the remote control?

Thank you very much

To the best of my knowledge the fobs can only be programmed by Volvo (or an authorised independent garage), but only if the fob is new and complete with packaging.

The cheapest way would be to buy a used lock control module with fobs already paired - simple 15 minute job to fit and no pairing required.

Thanks for the quick response

I had heard that there was some trick or some method that can be done from a code of key turns and button press...

I had a car with the same fob as in your picture and I never found an alternative way to program one. Maybe someone else will come along with another solution.

Only Volvo or an independent who has the software licenced from Volvo can programme the fob. Volvo will only programme a new fob that has been purchased from them.
