I can't believe that sofa would fit in a 3 series, A4 or X type, or V70, but maybe a good old 740/960/V90 or Merc E class (barn on wheels).

What happened to the T5 AWD version. Saw one on the road once.

As I posted in general volvo forum a feew days ago, i LOVE the V50 in sports trim, but its just not a load lugger like my 7 series.

I abuse my 7 series something rotten, and it still keeps going. The latest load will be 9 or 10 paving slabs next week sometime

(the most paving slabs i have carried in it is 8, and the handling was....er....interesting ) but i wouldnt want to carry those in a V50

have to agree though my V50 is smaller in the boot than my last V40 but still a good car

The V50 is pretty good for it's size given fundamentally it's in the Focus class, the V40 was a bit bigger really more of a Mondeo/Vectra rival IMO.

That sofa would have needed a transit or a 960 surely

At least they didn't spend the whole review going on about pipe 'n' slippers and acknowledged it is a good car to drive.

Cheers,
J
