Special Offer on Discs and Pads
2011 XC90 Exec 200HP
Having just had my annual service and MOT, at my local indie, I requested a price for replacing the front brakes (discs and pads) as they had been advised as "needing replacement in 3000 miles" Quote was for £371.34 for 100% genuine Volvo components inc. fitting and VAT I thought that was a bit steep (although there was 15% discount applied to the parts) so I thought I'd try elsewhere. A quick search of eBay found Caffyns Volvo in Eastbourne with just what I wanted for £178.90 inc VAT and Carriage That gives me almost £200 to spend on someone to fit them if I decide not to do it myself. I had a chat with Chris Gander of Caffyns and he told me these items are on special offer from Volvo right now which is why they are about half price. I've ordered them as they won't "go off" and I'll get my local mechanic to check & and show me how bad the current pads/discs are and we'll either swap them out now or wait until they've worn a bit more. Cheers Dave |

Yep - I saw that but I don't know who they are.
I've used Caffyns before. Cheers Dave |

I have used Chris and Ashley at Caffyns for my Volvo over the last 30k and 18 months.
They simply can not be beaten for price/convenience and quality, absolutely first class. |

£371 for genuine Volvo parts fitted isn't a bad price, particularly as you get a 2 year warranty on the parts. It's not the cheapest, but far from extortionate.
That said, if you're able to do it yourself and save a few Bob then go for it! No Caffyn's near me, they all appear to be on the south coast region, but my Dad lives near one... |
