Default instrument panel lights dim

My instrument panel lights ( giving info such as temp, time, mpg, etc ) have gone dim. Is this a sign that my battery is not getting fully charged or if not the case is there another possible reason for the dim lights?

Have you turned the dimmer down by accident? By light switch.

Or maybe the daylight sensor on the climate panel is malfunctioning? (Does this dim the lights in a P2? Can’t remember)

Default Indicator Audible Clicks

To change the topic slightly - My replacement DIM with the chrome rings - The indicator clicks within the car are inaudible when driving. - I understand the clicks come from a blue component on the DIM printed circuit board.
Any ideas as to how the clicking of the indicators can be made louder. I still have the old DIM in the loft, which was more audible- if I recall correctly, Is it worth the trouble changing over the clickers?

"Is it worth the trouble changing over the clickers?"

If you're asking for opinions, mine is a no. The DIMs seem to pop in and out easily. You could ask one of those automotive electronics repair shops how much they'd charge for the service. Supplying your own clicker could require them to offer no guarantee.

Is your old one a "chrome ring" cluster? I'm just askin' to see if the clickers are indeed the same.

The old cluster is not chrome
ringed . It has other problems & I would need to put it back in the dash to compare the loughness of the clicks. The problem is I sometimes leave the indicators on, when they should be cancelled. Am I correct in assuming the indicator clicks come from the blue component on the back of the DIM ?
