Default Interior lights not working

Guys

After fixing my sunroof by removing the motor and pulling it manually, I replaced the front interior light unit. All replaced as removed.
However, now I have no door activated courtesy lights, either front or rear seats. Front map lights work fine as do footwell lights and load area light.
Tried a UEM reset just in case and checked/rechecked connections but nothing.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I wonder if it's one of those things that can be cleared by disconnecting battery for an hour or so

Just an idea, you never know.. costs nothing to try! Key in position 2 when reconnecting

Try getting in the car, wait until the footwell lights go out. Then press the centre light switch until all the lights come back on. When they all go out again, try opening the door and all the lights should go back to normal.

For some reason, on these cars if you press and hold the main light button for more than 5 seconds it cancels the roof lights coming on when you open the doors, and just the footwell lights come on instead.

It's possible you may have pressed the button whilst replacing the unit.

Worth a try!

Pretty sure that unit contains the UEM so like replacing many of the modules, a reload of new software may be required.
Try refitting the original if you still have it.

I think you will find it is the original light unit, it was removed to repair/close a faulty sunroof.

So for replaced read re-fitted.

Solved!

Went out shopping in the car. Lights still not working. Locked the car. When I came back, the car wouldn't unlock with the remote. Opened it with the key and everything is back to normal!
Who knows why...........
