Default Intermittent STC symbol

2007 V70 base 136K
Once 2 months ago and again yesterday and today the STC warning light (vehicle with trailing swerve marks) came on quite early during the first drive of the day.
I didn't notice if it came on upon startup.
After 10 or so minutes of driving, the light goes out.

I'm away from home (tools/code reader) at the moment so I can just ask if this sounds familiar to anyone.

Brakes feel fine and I don't drive crazy at all, thus providing no way to draw any performance comparisons.

When I do get home I'll check for codes.

During a wheels-off inspection, what should I look for?
I'm thinking check for cracked / rusted pulse wheels, frayed wire to the sensor.......and what else?

Can worn brakes trigger this?

Cheers

Hi this is if one front wheel spins faster then the other, so if it was not a wheel spin(if it was a wheel spin it would only be on for milli seconds, it could be one of the front speed sensors or rings need changing, it can happen if you have a bad wheel bearing, or loose drive shaft bolt, and no brakes will not do this,

The only time I have had this on my vehicle, was when a reluctor ring had a crack. The crack wasn't that obvious.
See attached photo.

I had a cracked reluctor ring - I had the symbol but I did notice that going around corners the car would start braking a wheel to compensate for the 'skid' I wasn't having! I thought was possessed by the devil until I saw the traction control light!....I think the issue can show up if the yaw sensor is knackered and tells the car it's drifting when it's clearly not....
HTH,
Nobby
