Default Rear passenger window and roof sequence issue

Can anyone help please. I have a C70 2000 Convertible with a couple of problems.

1. The rear passenger side window has fallen in/detached from the regulator. How do I access the window in order to attach to the regulator? Do the seats need to be removed first?

2. I tried to put the roof down, but all it did was lower the windows in its first sequence. The roof didn't budge. Now the roof button on the dash doesn't do anything, has no flashing light, and every time we start the car, all windows go down as if stuck in the 'roof down' sequence.

The fuses seem to be ok. Should I check all microswitches inside the roof cover? What else could this be?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks so much,
Roxana

To access the rear window the rear seat has to come out.

Pull the front edge of the seat base up to release the clips and remove. At the base of the backrest is a bolt either side, undo these and pull the base of the seat forward to gain access with your hand behind. Reach up behind the backrest and release the two catches securing the headrest it may need a second pair of hands to simultaneously pull the headrest up, they can be quite stiff. No need to undo the seatbelts. Then with the headrests out of the way lift the backrest vertically to release the top edge, remove from car. The interior side panels are now accessible and various clips, bolts and fixings can be undone. The front seatbelt bottom slider bar needs to be unbolted from the side panel and then it slides out of the seat to release the seatbelt. Once the interior panel is released from the clips etc, pull the panel out from the base to release the hidden trim clips and then lift the panel vertically to release the top edge from the window seal, remove from car.

When refitting the side panel it is worthwhile to fit a new bulb - or LED - in the reading light as you will need to go through the trim removal process in the future if you don't.
