Stalling and Relay trouble
Hi, I have a 940 2.0 Turbo 1994
I have two unrelated problems with it... 1. When slowing, to pass a parked car for example, the car sometimes stalls. When it is ticking over the car misses every 5 or 10 seconds. Car ticks over at about 700 rpm. Have changed plugs. 2. After switching from Main Beam to dipped, a relay behind the ashtray goes crazy - tick tick tick, for several minutes. First plan was to remove all the relays and clean the contacts, any other suggestions? Thanks in advance |

RE: Stalling and Relay trouble
1. This sounds as if the resistor bank for the injectors has a dodgy connection to one of the injectors or the distributor/rotor arm needs to be checked/replaced.
2. Identify the relay and then check it for loose connections to the relay holder, then check the relay for dry joints. Also make sure that any earth connections are ok. All the best, Peter. |
