New Model S40

Hi guys
New chap to forum here..Does anyone know where to get a boot lip spoiler for new model S40 cheap? Dealer is looking over £400 which I think is expensive..
If you dont know, could any of you give me the measurements of the boot on the new model. My car is due to arrive in next 2 weeks and I have a chap who will make me one but needs measurements.

Hi mate

We are a volvo dealer who specialise in mail order discounted parts.

First of all the lip spoiler (as found on the T5 versions) -



The price of these do vary slightly depending on colour code, but the following is a good guide to the price. Colour code is required to get the spoiler for you as they do come ready painted. The retail price shown below includes the adhesive kit which is required to fit it.

REAR BOOTLID LIP SPOILER:
P/n: various, requires paint code
Volvo Price: £314.62 including vat
Our Price: £267.43 including vat, plus postage
Postage: £9.10 Royal Mail Standard Parcel Force, fully insured.
Availability: Would take 2 – 3 working days to come in to us then sent out with Royal Mail


Secondly, this next quote is for this spoiler -



We would require your registration number to get the paint code off the car as these do come ready painted to match your car.

Volvo Price: £136.95 including vat
Our Price: £116.41 including vat, plus postage

The only colour which is different price is the 'Savile Grey' colour code, which is a lot more, at around the same price as the lip spoilers above.

just out of interest. How come the lip spoiler is so much more expensive than the more substantial one?

Personally I prefer the latter anyway but just thought it was strange

Honestly - I have no idea? It is strange, but I just went and double checked the prices and they are correct.

Not a massive difference really though, less than £15 difference from what i posted above. Bear in mind the ones i supply are ready painted at volvo to match your vehicle and comes with all fittings required... the one on ebay is supplied in primer,and does not include fittings, and the seller is charging £20 on top of the price for them i notice.
