Smile Poss venue - suggestion

There is a good venue close to where I live and I have seen occasional meets there before.
It's quite close to major routes and easily accessible - M6/A580 junction about 5 miles or M62 Worsley junction about 7 miles.

It's Pennington flash country park - Google produces lots of results and here is one http://www.wlct.org/leisure/parks/pa....htm#pennflash as a taster.

Only drawback is parking there is by pay & display though it is a big, big car park.

If it is thought viable as a venue I'll pop round one day, look at the parking charges then post them here - It's not expensive though IIRC.

I know it's not Cheshire but close by and there are facilities there to keep your Mrs & kids occupied.

Assuming I'm not working ( NHS - awkward shifts ) I'll certainly be there.
Maybe then I'll find out about the 4 or 5 other nice 240's I see round Leigh as I could post a notice on the Leighlife website.

BTW my 1988 240 Auto passed its MOT today first take - few minor advisories that are not expensive and will be dealt with.
The wiper arm scratch on the passenger side windscreen ( see my post earlier this year ) wasn't even mentioned.
Whoopee!!!!

Default anybody up for a cheshire meet.

hi, Lee, yes a cheshire meet sounds good to me. there must be plenty of places in cheshire with ample parking at reasonable cost. dunlop.1987 240 estate,47,000 miles.and a1.6 440 1995.

Tatton Park as another suggestion. However there is an entry fee but loads for the family to do. I'd like another meet.
