V70 1998 Fly by wire accelerator
Anyone got one spare? How much? Is it a pita to replace? Been told this is the most likely cause of fault as it controls the idle. I assume there is no idle control valve then?
Car has been stalling at junctions occasionally but it's getting worse and needs replaced before I can put the car up for sale. Want it to be perfect for the next owner. Really peed off at having to sell it as it's been a great car but need to go auto for medical reasons. Still, I could always go T5 auto again as fuel costs nothing these days. Every cloud and all that! Alan Last edited by Alan Mac; Mar 25th, 2010 at 14:41. |

No ideas? Anyone?
Saw another thread about cleaning out the ICV on a 20 valve turbo. Is there an ICV on a S reg N/A 20v 2.5 with fly by wire throttle? Can't get out to the car as I had surgery on Tuesday and can't walk at the moment, so ideas would be gratefully received. Alan |

I have this one from a 2002/2003 c70.
I cant be sure if this fits your vehicle or not. If you think its the one you need its yours for a tenner plus P&P. Thanks |

Etm?
Check out threads regarding ETM (electronic throttle mechanism) I don't know if it is relevant to your car but from what I can gather ETM faults cause the problems you describe. If so it is bad news but don't waste money on a wrong part if it is not the cause of your problem. Good luck!
